Beginners

You’ve seen the professionals do it so why can’t you have a go???
The first step is to come along to a beginners course of which we hold at least one every year.
From this experience you will be given a club booklet and certificate to show that you understand, and are prepared to abide by, the rules and etiquette of our club.
Starting equipment can be loaned to a beginner once they have completed the beginners course and been enrolled in the club, as it is considered unwise to rush out and immediately buy all the equipment you think you may need.
Once you have built up your shooting muscles and become more accurate with the starting equipment it should be only natural that you will want to purchase your own bow and arrows together with all the other gear.
As every bow should “fit” each individual archer it is advisable that you speak to one or two of the helpful experienced members who will take measurements to ensure you look to buy the right one. The same thing applies to the choice of arrows as they should be chosen to match the bow. You will already have used most of the other equipment you will need but as a reminder this should include an arm guard, quiver, finger tab, arrow puller and score pad.
